What to do with a used Christmas tree
Hong Kong treats Christmas trees as ordinary garbage, and most of them are directly pulled to landfills, which is very unenvironmental.
This year, environmental groups have started to get involved in Christmas tree recycling projects. Mainly to announce the contact information, and then come to the door to recycle.
The project plans to recycle 10 tons of Christmas trees, but many citizens responded and have recycled 50 tons of Christmas trees.
The recycled Christmas tree will be pulled to the wood processing plant for processing:
Place it for three months and let it dry naturally;
Leaves and trunks are separated. The leaves are crushed to make organic fertilizer;
The trunk is crushed three times, and then subjected to high temperature and high pressure treatment to make wood coal.
Wood coal: Using high temperature and high pressure extrusion equipment, waste wood, crop straw, etc. are extruded into certain pellets (Pellets) or briquettes (Briquettes) as fuel, that is, wood coal fuel.
