The history of the Christmas tree
The Christmas tree appeared in the Christmas scene more than 1,500 years after the birth of Jesus (16th century AD). At first, there was no practical use, just to set off the festive atmosphere. On the principle of frugality, a monk cut down a small tree and hung cakes, red fruits and candles on it, so that the children in the neighborhood had a merry Christmas.
Later, people competed to imitate them, and the pendants on the tree became bell stalls, snowflakes, small gifts and lanterns. Since it is an entertainment prop, there are no restrictions on many types. According to local conditions, pine trees and fir trees can be used. These trees were chosen simply because they remain green in the harsh winter (the needle or leaf shape and the waxy exterior of the needles help them survive the winter cold and drought) and look vibrant.
Furthermore, the tapered canopy is good for decoration, which is like a shelf for Christmas gifts. It doesn’t matter if you want to understand it this way, in fact, pine and cedar trees are just a shape to avoid being beaten by snow and strong winds.
